Un cibervoluntariado (ciber-voluntario) es una persona que se vuelve voluntario y que, lleva a cabo sus tareas parcialmente o enteramente con un ordenador y/o el Internet. Se distingue el cibervoluntariado de los voluntarios en línea menos por el hecho de que él o ella utiliza una computadora y más bien por la acumulación de los conocimientos técnicos que él o ella posee y las motivaciones subyacentes que impulsan a él o ella. Él o ella trata de aplicar sus conocimientos en tecnología de la información en el mundo que le rodea y trata de mejorar este mundo. Más....
