7. Conclusion
A special thank you to all the WOUGNET volunteers who have made the organisation what it is today. To my colleagues in the international volunteer community, the participants, organisers and sponsors of this symposium, I thank you for all that you are doing.
While voluntarism may sometimes be very hard work, it is rarely thankless and we owe it to humanity to use the resources, skills and abilities we have been blessed with to help the less fortunate in society.
